more Qs

#1 Some people believe in living by choice and some by destiny. What is destiny to you?

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever existed on this planet and you could live forever?

#5 Coffee or tea, anybody?

Please give some assistance to my wandering mind. Oh, I have some interim answers for some questions as well, just click on the line below.

My answer for #1: destiny is something guiding us (it could be whatever you believe in) from inside, an inner voice. We later on can choose to follow it, to go against it, or to flee from it. Destiny for me thus is NOT an extra power which drives us into its path without giving any chance to choose. Perhaps I could write some of my musing about destiny in a later post.

My answer for #3: to learn by myself. Many inspirational persons have said that education tend to kill creativity as the purpose of education itself is more likely to civilize mankind rather than to teach. I agree with that point of view.

My answer for #4: I would create my own literature to read, my own music to listen to, my own culinary, my own clothes, and so forth. No society, my ego rules. Perhaps it kinda sucks imagining that kind of world now because we're already experiencing the joy of living with others. Yet it happens to my mind that loneliness occurs not because I am the only human around. Loneliness happens when I know there are a lot of people out there and I still feel I am standing on my own.

  1. I feel like I want to answer these ._.

    1. Destiny, is God's script for every of us. I believe in it, and I do living based on God's script. The worst thing that happened in our life, has a reason behind it. Because God is not joking with ever creature's life.

    2. Massive talent plus effort

    3. When you are learning by yourself, sometimes you are lost and take much time. But if you are educated, you are on the right track but little chance to have improvisation.

    4. I cannot imagine this, that's just too sad :'(

    5. Tea, but if i may i will choose chocolate drinks :3

  2. Interesting questions; I'll give them a go if I may...

    1. Destiny is a star or an excuse. A star if you use the idea of destiny to prod yourself to work harder in reaching a worthy goal. Too often, however, it is used as an excuse for not trying and then laying the blame for one's failure at the feet of a greater Being. "God didn't want me to have that." "I'm destined to be unlucky." etc... No, actually, it isn't that God didn't want you to have that/do that/be that, or that God wants you to be unlucky; it's that God expects you to use the good gifts He gave you in order to grow and better yourself, otherwise why would He bother to let you be born and have a life?

    2. Massive talent AND massive effort; anything worth doing is worth throwing yourself into body and soul.

    3. Both. Education, taken with a good dose logic and the determination to keep an open mind is a good starting point for learning how to (and how not to) learn and can introduce us to concepts we might not have discovered on our own.

    4. I wouldn't live my life as a human. We are the creatures who Communicate, who Play, and we are pack animals just as much as wolves, dolphins, etc... Without ever having seen, heard, spoken with, and worked side by side with other humans we cannot become fully human. Our souls require interaction with other peculiar human creatures in order to become fully themselves.

    5. Tea, raspberry if you have it please.

See, I can be serious! And yes, most years I do dress up in a Halloween costume; play is good for the soul and keeps the mind fresh!

  4. #1 Some people believe in living by choice and some by destiny. What is destiny to you?

I try to think that life is pure choice and sometimes these choices bring good and bad but, you learn and live to either better your life or get stuck or even hit rock bottom. What ever the outcome may be, with so many possibilities/choices you can give yourself you have the ability to shift and shape into anything you want it to be or allow it to manifest into.

I would hate to think everything is destined; it gives no motivation, no hope and without it, you gain nothing. Those who are destined to win will never try and those who were made to lose will always push for nothing.
It's quite depressing thinking about it. Ultimately, having a pre-destined life is robbing your right to live by your own rules- so then, if this is the case, what is the meaning of life? Such a scary thought.

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?

I say whether you have 'talent' or not- as long as you are happy with what you are doing, that's all that should ever matter.

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?

I loathe public and private school methods:
    1. Pushes and molds people to fit into what society deems to be "correct".
    2. Hinders growth and creativity.

Life is all about the journey whether it's by the books you read (the ones you want to read), by traveling to spiritual growth and awareness. It's important that you know what you want and what makes you happy and traditional ways of "educating" people is not effective nor healthy, in my opinion (I'll just leave it at that- I don't want to start ranting).
In the end, there are many things that people nor a system can teach you as a person; that's all you.

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever exists on this planet and you can live forever?

I wouldn't like that- I would feel so alone and scared.

    #5 Coffee or tea, anybody?

    Milk tea, please<3

  5. I do want to answer these. They're pretty good questions too. Very thought provoking.

    1. Destiny is a path that we can choose. Our lives may be guided a little but not everything is predetermined. There is always a choice. Destiny is just a force that guides us to the right choice at times.

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?
I think with enough effort you can overcome a lack of talent. But it depends on the field. Some things I would rather have a talent for, and some things it doesn't matter so much, and can be overcome. It would depend on the field.

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?
To learn by myself. If someone is teaching you something they are teaching you their side of the story. It could be false or not how things really happened. It's best to question everything and find out as many proven facts as you can, and that is something often best done alone.

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever exists on this planet and you can live forever?
I don't really know. I'd probably get bored. First I would seek out all knowledge and then try and amuse myself really. I'd probably try and travel to the stars to see what I could find eventually.

    #5 Coffee or tea, anybody?
I'll take either, especially if it's iced.

  6. Well, I have to say living "by destiny" plus, having no talent with the super effort, is a sure way to get nowhere in my opinion. If you sit back and wait for things to happen, because one day a miracle will occur...ugg... not a good plan..trust me, kids. But, now I kinda contradict myself, saying that SUPER EFFORT with no talent, will not get you anywhere unless you are aiming fairly low. THAT"S IT! That's what I did wrong! I will aim low next time, and hit my mark!

    1. Yet now I've realized one thing Jimmy, we would only learn how far our talent could go WITH the effort. The more effort we give, the further the talent we discover. However, there are those whose talents in the beginning are massively giftedly seen and there those who seem to have a little or none at all.

  7. my answers to the first 3 are the same for each one: somewhere in the middle seems right for me. A mix of destiny and choices, a bit of talent with effort, to learn by myself AND to be educated. One does not exclude the other!
    Coffee or tea? both!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't believe in destiny and I believe that with enough effort, you can become talented at virtually anything. I prefer being taught and if I was the only human left I'd spend all my time trying to kill myself.

Also, why not combine the two together and drink it as one?

  9. Learn by yourself!

Living independently for almost 6 years, with every changes and what I have right now are products of my experience and by learning from it I become or I guess a better person who knows what he wants now. As they say Experience is the best teacher.

  10. even we are the educated one, we should need to learn by myself, you know not everything written in a book though.

  11. I feel super mainstream after reading and thinking about these questions, since I've got no straight answers, only mixes between the possibilities you've listed! Accept for number 4 of course... But I wouldn't want to live in the world all alone. I'd probably get really weird and try to befriend animals and talk to my self and stuff :)

  12. I'm answering here, hehe.

    1. Destiny, hmm. I can't elaborate it..

    2. Definitely massive talent plus effort.

    3. To learn by myself. That's why I want to quit from university so badly... I think it's way better to join the school of life instead of sitting quietly under academic system, which mostly had taught me nothing.

    4. So it means that there's no one who operate electricity, transportation, etc etc? Bummer... Live forever? Worst nightmare ever!

    5. Coffee :9

  13. #1 Some people believe in living by choice and some by destiny. What is destiny to you?
I don't believe in destiny. I believe everything happen for a reason and everything that happened has some lesson in which we can learn from. Positive thinking all the way!

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?
No talent with extra effort. God never looks for a person who is ABLE, He is looking for a person who is WILLING. And will is the most powerful tool of all

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?
I guess.. A little bit of both. I actually love to be educated, it teaches us to be humble and learn to submit to the autorithy. If you can submit to your teacher, how you can submit to God?

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever exists on this planet and you can live forever?
I will dedicate myself to animals and dogs. Most likely live like Tarzan

    #5 Coffee or tea, anybody?
    Coffee!!!!

Is it just me or you've been feeling a bit down, lately, my dear Jo??? Just remember God loves you and that will never change no matter what you did. He will and always love us

  15. such an interesting post josh ☺

#1 in my opinion choice bring us to our destiny, what we choose is what bring us to our destiny

#2 i choose massive talent plus efforts, because i think God gives us many talents , depends on bible we have to grow up our talent right?
and of course we grow it up with efforts ☺

#3 learn by my self, because we don't need to have million knowledges from education. education only teach us about knowledge but rarely teach us about how to society well, society is needed the most because we're social creatures ☺

#4 no, of course we would feel lonely and can't do anything because as a social creatures we need another people around us , and i think every one want to be LOVE and NEEDED, how they gonna feel that if there's no one else

    #5 TEAAA ☺ i dont like coffee :P

  18. #1 I have a quote "strive your best in whichever kind of thing you do and let god reveal our destiny". so, we're free to choose our life, but God decides it through destiny.

#3 well, depend on what thing that we want to learn. sometime, the teacher can be unsuitable with our usual learning way. but, having a tutor sometime can be so uselful to help us knowing the subject faster.

    #4 ask god whether

#5 it used to be coffee, but lately I just prefer tea.. (:

  22. great questions. a bit hard to choose the answer for some question.
    so here my answer :D
#1 I believe in living by choice but can't ignore the destiny. we can change the destiny by our choice, but the result is the destiny for our choice.
#2 nah, I can't choose the answer, but I think both are balance, depend on the person, but I think I'm the one with no talent with extra effort.
#3 hmm, I think we can't just learn by ourself, we still need to be educated.
#4 for this question, I think I can live by myself, just like a person who live in jungle and he/she is the only one human, there's still animal, right? haha.
    # tea of course, I can't really drink coffee.

thanks for these awesome question that opened my mind kak Jo!

  23. A pretty late response but happy December, Jo!

#1 I believe in destiny and live accordingly by making choices that are in line with who I am and who I am supposed to be.

#2 I would focus on my talents and develop them with efforts. That's obviously the reason why everyone has one. In most cases, you would have passion in what you can be good at. At the end of the day, life is not just about having a job. You know this most, Jo.

#3 This is not a choice. Those two are one. To be educated IS to learn by yourself. True education requires the constant motivation from within to learn.

#4 I'd pray to God for another human being. Like Adam praying for Eve.

#5 Green tea. But I wouldn't mind pure black coffee.

    Hope you're writing again soon!

    Much love.

  24. Great questions you got... But so difficult to answer.. I would like to say, that I always tend to take things to the middle, Educated and learning by myself some other stuff.. Talent is nothing without working hard, so they must be there, both of them too..

  27. wow, what a deep thought you're having here.
I'll give a shot to answer your questions though. :D

#1 Some people believe in living by choice and some by destiny. What is destiny to you?
Destiny is something I do not believe in. I believe that God has His plan to my life and His plan is always the best thing that could ever happened to me.

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?
Both I might say. In the ones you have talent in, do more, explore, develop what you got and widen your wings! However, in the ones you don't have talent at, do the best you could, give the best and you'd be surprise in how much you can do.

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?
and again, it's both. Sometimes we need to learn by ourselves on the things we're craving to learn but at some point we also need other's help to give us better understanding on things we're learning about.

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever exists on this planet and you can live forever?
mm mm, noo, I might just wish to die because of loneliness. As a human being, we, human, need other people to socialize, we can't just living alone because how are we supposed to get food from, how are we gonna spend the day just all alone? It will be too boring. Also, I ain't a fan of being lonely.

    #5 Coffee or tea, anybody?
Tea please. Plus ice and milk, perhaps?

Happy New Year by the way. Have a great year ahead :)

  28. #1 destiny is something we get from god, which can be changed depends on our effort

#2 absolutely, no talent with extra effort. But for some case, Massive talent plus effort sounds great.

#3 To learn by my self. Learning is an art. subjective. We can see many people outside there confused because of their education. because they're educated

#4 I'll looking for the only knife ever exists on this planet and then kill my self

#5 Tea. I love sleeping as much as i hate coffe

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love the pretty photos and deep questions. Here's what I think.

#1 I believe that destiny changes as I make my choices, but in the end, it's all part of God's plan.

#2 There's a saying that work beats talent when talent doesn't work. So talent with effort.

#3 In school, I'd rather be taught, but in real life, it's s o much more fulfilling and effective to learn your own lessons.

#4 I would probably be very depressed. I always joke that I'm antisocial, but we need human interaction.

#5 Oooh, tea for sure! Coffee is not very tasty in my opinion.

#1 Some people believe in living by choice and some by destiny. What is destiny to you?
Destiny determines what would our lives be, but we need to have choices in order to stir it to the right path! :)

#2 Massive talent plus effort OR no talent with extra effort?
Massive talent plus effort! (Because I am one example of it) lol

#3 To learn by yourself OR to be educated?
I want to be educated as I'm meant to then fly freely to learn by myself

#4 How would you live your life if you were the only human ever exists on this planet and you can live forever?
I don't that. There's no point in living alone, without my loved ones.
